The 100 Black Men Virginia Peninsula Chapter, Community Relations Committee partnered with the Williamsburg, Lambda Lambda Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and Students from Booker T. Washington Elementary School, headed by Ms. Courtney Rich participated in a Soles4Souls Shoe Drive. Students and members of the 100 collected and donated shoes to Soles4Souls to empower women entrepreneurs in emerging nations. The sale of one pair of shoes can help a woman provide five meals for a family in places like Haiti and Honduras. For the students participation, they were treated pizza for lunch and Booker T. Washington and Ms. Rich received certificates of appreciation.
