The Vet Success on Campus program in conjunction with Tidewater Community
College Center for Military Veterans and Education (CMVE) would like to invite you to
the 5th Annual Veteran Symposium and career fair.
When: October 25, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Place: Tidewater Community College Virginia Beach ATC Building.
1700 College Crescent, Virginia Beach, VA 23453
(located on the corner of Michael LeBouve and Faculty Dr.)
About the Symposium:
The Vet Success on Campus (VSOC) Counselor’s want to make sure that all aspects of veteran
and military student concerns are covered and that the proper school and community resources
are available to help them become successful in their transition from the military to student life
and eventually employment and beyond. The VSOC’s and TCC staff recognized that there were
a large number of TCC veteran affiliated students who were interested in learning more about
the benefits of being a veteran, dependent and a student.
Veterans will have the opportunity to interact face to face with many Department of Veterans
Affairs service providers, as well as, veteran friendly community resources. Veteran Service
Organizations and TCC Student Services staff will be available, as well.
There will be employer tables set up throughout the 2 nd floor of the ATC Building. Veterans are
encouraged to bring resumes and also review employer’s websites and complete online
applications, if applicable.
Employers and resources will be on hand to discuss employment opportunities and conduct on
site interviews. There will also be three workshops held to include Resume writing,
compensation and pension and A Lunch and Learn VA Resources workshop.
